On the occasion of commemorating the Centenary of the first assault victory of the Romanian Army in the Great War, on July 9 (Old Style No. 1917) public authorities in Vrancea have prepared the following program commemorating the heroes who fell Marasti battlefield:
- July 9, 2017: marking the start of Marasti offensive occupied by Gerok Group (German Army and the Austrian-Hungarian Army):
- 12.00 “Tedeum” Marasti Church;
- 12.00-12.45 pm Sanctification and beginning of construction for a crucifixes in front of Robu House;
- 13.00-13.30 pm The exhibition The Unknown Soldier at “Regina Maria School” in Marasti;
- 14.00-14.15 pm Book release “Marasti 100”, Prof. Petre Abeaboeru;
- 14.15-15.00 pm Release of two magazines related to Marasti and First World War;
- July 11, 2017, 13.00 Laying flowers ceremonial for the centenary of Romanian military action during the First World War by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Margareta and Prince Radu, with HE Hans Klemm, US Ambassador to Bucharest;
- July 18, 2017, 18:00 Visit of the Romanian President, HE Klaus Werner Johannis, at Marasti Mausoleum, Marasti Church and School;
- July 20, 2017, 18:00 military ceremony commemorating the Mărăști Mausoleum with the occasion of Mărăști Village Day;
- July 24, 2017, 21.00 – Mausoleums Night;
- August 4th, 21.00 – Concert Homage at Marasti Mausoleum.
